All of which are well maintained throughout the seasons with many in majestic settings. Also, some of the 16 courses immediatly around Cape Town have stunning backdrops of Table Mountain and Sea.
There are many UK and local companies operating Golf Tourism in the Cape and it can be sometimes difficult to know and plan what is best for you. The information provided is designed to keep it simple and straightforward and much has come from golfing friends and clients.
Golf in South Africa is a fairly relaxed,and, generally, inexpensive game. Please find below general "THINGS TO NOTE" that will help you.
1- Letter of Introduction,plus Certificate of Handicap,ADVISABLE, and sometimes eg- Royal Cape, absolutely neccessary.
2- Booking well in advance as possible is advised as most clubs have specific member days and some clubs are into corporate days.
3- Golf clubs/trollies/motorised carts can be hired if neccessary,it is advisable to request at time of booking.
4- Dress code operates at all clubs. Soft spiked footware is required.
5- Mandatory stop at half-way house. Also, all clubhouses offer very good catering facilities.
6- During High Season it is advisable to use some form of Sun Block on your face,neck and arms. Also, take enough bottled water.
