Accommodation Description
The range and quality of Cape Town accommodation can be overwhelming. There are some fantastic hotels, guest houses, country lodges and self catering options.Recently a number of hotels and lodges have introduced Health & Wellness centres which offer mainstream and esoteric therapies where you can lie back and not think of England !!!
Detailed in the sub categories below are some
excellent suggestions which have already been used
by clients and friends, in particular the two guest
houses.
For a full listing of accommodation in South Africa / Cape Town please visit either www.wheretostay.co.za or www.savenues.com
Please remember all Waterfront Hotels will be of a very high standard and will be at the top end of the price range. It maybe wise to have a look at hotels and upmarket guest houses within adjacent districts to the Waterfront/centre.
GRADING- The Tourism Grading Council has a voluntary scheme with ratings from 1 to 5 stars. It is important to note that properties are rated according to the standards of furnishings, service and guest care rather than the range of facilities offered.
Up to date listings of graded establishments can be found on www.tourismgrading.co.za
SEASONS- During peak season getting the accommodation you want can sometimes be difficult, it is therefore wise to book well in advance, Also consideration should be given to summer school holidays which is when South Africans usually take their holidays (Mid December to Mid January)
HIGH SEASON- November though to March.
MID SEASON- September (Spring) October, April,May.
LOW SEASON- June, July, August.
