    Holiday Check List Description

    It would be almost impossible to create a definitive holiday checklist...

    However if you are planning to visit South Africa, in particular the Cape, please find below a few extra things you may want to think about taking -

    SUN BLOCK / SUN SCREEN - The UV Rays are extremely strong and dangerous to some people with sensitive skin. We suggest a minimum 30 block.
    IE -- Clarins 30 sfp SUN CREAM and AFTER SUN Clarins after Sun Moisturizer Anti Moustiques. If you are a swimmer /surfer there is a waterproof block called TRIBE which can be brought from most surf shops In South Africa.

    EXPOSING YOUR BODY TO THE SOUTH AFRICAN SUN FOR MORE THAN 20 / 30 MINS CAN BE HARMFUL !!!
    ================================================================================================

    Anyway.....

    Most certainly a decent pair of SUNGLASSES

    HAT or CAP

    For general clothing please click on CLOTHING & DRESS Category above. We are very casual in Cape Town !!!
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Digital Camera and 'extra' memory stick if you will be 'Happy Snapping' on a trip or Safari................Also Binoculars for a safari.

    Walking footwear or Trainers. Casual footwear for evenings. You will probably need a jumper/warm top in the evening as it can get quite chilly.

    NOTE - Rand currency is best obtained from English Post Office or selected outlets of M & S. Both give competitive rates and neither charge commission.
    NOTE - Ensure your mobile phone is on International Roaming. Dialing code back to UK is 0044 or +44 from mobile ( then you must drop the 0 digit on the number.)

    Many people have their own way of preparing for their holiday trips, but below is a Word Document that may just help you.
